Two layer, cotton cloth facemask in WWII German "Splinter" pattern camouflage pattern, with backing made from gray HBT. We did some experimenting with the design created a comfortable and breathable mask.

We chose cord ties over elastic as the latter is difficult to make in a universal size and it tends to pull on your ears and become uncomfortable. These have one pleat and a wire to help form the top to your nose.

They do not have "filter pockets" as adding another layer makes it hard to breathe. The best option for extra filtration would be to wear these over a disposable mask.

Washing: As these are 100% cotton, all options are (no bleach!) "legal" but these best choice is simply to hand wash them in hot water with a little fabric detergent and hang dry. Machine wash/ dry is ok, but they won't last as long and the ties may start to ravel.
