Reproduction B15A flight jacket. These flight jackets were introduced late in 1944 as an improved model of the B15.
The leather triangles were used to clip the oxygen mask to and the small snap tabs held the wires for the airmen's headphones.
Our jackets are made from 100% cotton OD7 sateen, with artificial fur lining, artificial mouton collar and wool knit cuffs, Talon zipper and Scovil snaps.
Compared to other reproductions: These are entirely new creations- they are NOT the same ones we had some years ago. Totally different contractor. Our B-15's are not sold by any other vendor. Our sizing is accurate, pattern correct and they are a very nice coat.
Fit: Order by normal chest size. These are slightly more roomy than originals- very similar in proportion to Tanker jackets. The body length of our jackets are 1-2" longer than the like size originals (S= 36, M = 40, L = 44). Back length is measured from the base of the collar to the end of the waistband on the back.
Sleeve length is comparable to that on original jackets, and is measured from the shoulder to end of cuff.

Why don't we use real fur? We enquired about using genuine lambskin and woolen pile. It is possible, but the cost of the jackets would be approximately triple. It also makes them dry clean only, less comfortable to many, very attractive to moths, with little or no increase in thermal value. Did I mention the price would triple?
