Navy pattern medic pouches worn by Corpsmen assigned to Marine units in the Pacific. Similar in design to the medic pouches used by the army. The Navy pouch has an expandable bottom, secured by Durable snaps, an internal gusset to attach inserts and a flap with Lift-the-Dots. Our reproduction is identical to the originals.
Designed to be worn in pairs, period photos clearly show many Corpsman improvised (as they still do to this day) their own rigs instead. Often only one of these was carried, other times worn in conjunction with a musette or medic case.
Wartime photos show these being carried using a variety of shoulder straps: GP straps, litter straps, map case straps, etc, etc.
size: 8'' tall x 9''x2'', when extended 15'' tall
