How do we know it's WW2? All inappropriate jokes aside, it was simple. This is from a hoard of period personal hygiene items that were found in the attic of a former apothecary in the early 1990's in Ludwigshafen. The cases were marked in RM (Reichmarks) making them 1954 or older. Each bar is about 3" x 2" x 1". The paper wrap is ours we put on them to reduce the lye smell.
