Heer pattern fieldcap made from original Marsh 44 Drillich fabric. Although there were no factory made "issue" caps of this type, the German tailors made a plethora of custom caps from all sorts of fabrics for troops craving a unique look. We did not use original thread on these as we had problems with it breaking when sewing the visor. (The insert is leather, not plastic or cardboard.) Lining is gray cotton.

These were a "field made" item and thus any insignia is potentially correct. That said, we don't sew cap insignia- but you may hand or machine sew it yourself.
