Early production Dutch Army folding shovels- basically identical to the WWII German Klappspaten. These are frequently pimped as "100% WWII"....but they aren't. They are military issue, in very good condition. We have cleaned these up, and some have been repainted. That said, all are used and 50+ years old so some evidence of use is certain.

In the late 1980's I bought one of these shovels, stripped and cold-blued it. That shovel is pictured here (middle) between two original WWII German production models. Originals do exhibit minor variations in rivet size, handle length and shape, etc but overall these are identical.

The main differences from the originals are:
1. The blade closes parallel to the handle (originals remain at a slight angle)
2. They were painted black rather than blued.
3. No German markings.
