US Trouser Suspenders
New reproduction WWII suspenders. This pattern is usually described
as the "paratrooper" model, but they were general issue throughout
the Army. The 1943 Quartermaster Supply Catalog describes them as "Suspenders,
Trousers: Made of od webbing and are worn with trousers, mountain: trousers,
parachute jumper, or any other type of trousers with which suspenders
are used".
There are several variations of originals. Some have no elastic which
can result in buttons being ripped out when one bends over, while others
have fruity looking striped elastic...and since the stripes aren't khaki,
we know there would be riots and someone might get hurt. So, in the
interests of functionality and public safety, we chose to reproduce
the model with web shoulder straps and elasticized back strap. The webbing
and elastic are both od #3.
These button onto the trousers (no clips).
Note: Most US trousers DO NOT come with buttons to attach suspenders. Only M1943 Field Trousers and M1942 Paratrooper Trousers have them "from the factory". If you wish to use these for any other trousers (wools, HBT's, camo's etc, etc) you will have to put buttons on yourself. This is not an error on our part- it's how originals were made. .
Sizing: Yes, ours will adjust further than most originals. We
have test-fitted these suspenders on guys ranging from 5'5" to
6'4" with no problem. If you're 6'8" or taller, things might
get tight, but otherwise they'll work.
Just in case you don't trust us, here's the measurements:
Length when fully shortened 38": Fully Extended: 50"
$20.00
If the pants you want to use don't have buttons for suspenders:

Reproduction US Trouser Belt
New trousers belts. These are all made from od#3
webbing with new, correct WWII type hardware. These are not the beige/
off-white things sold at most surplus stores that kinda-sorta look
like WWII. The new generation webbing is 110% identical to WWII weave
and color.
Sorry, we have no Officer or USMC brass buckles.
$15.00
45" fits up to 40" waist
55" fits up to 50" waist
65" fits up to 60" waist
These are available in three sizes: 45", 55" and 65".
The tip is already fastened. All you do is cut it to the size you
need and put the buckle on. Don't make this too complicated.
Q: What do I do????
A: I wear a 36!!! Not a 45!
Step one: Get a pair of scissors.
(If these are confusing, ask your Mommy or little sister how to work them.)
Step two: Snip!
Dearest Khakihounds,
Said belts are a correct WWII olive drab #3. Again and again,
there is no one single WWII color. Original od3 comes in
about 20 different shades. If you want to argue, I have hundreds of
pounds of real gear and materials with which to prove you very much
wrong. I can direct you indignant and condescending amateurs to a
bin of 100's real WWII belts in a surplus store in which you will
be hard pressed to find any two the same exact color. If you fruitcakes
want beige belts, go to Sportsman's Guide and they'll have the nice
polycotton BDU belts in several fruity colors to satisfy you and your
color fetish.
