After years of requests, we are now offering US helmet liners. These
are original WWII liners that have been refurbished. We drill out the
old, polluted suspension, clean and repair as necessary then install
new khaki suspension with original A washers and rivets. Liners are
sold individually or complete with all components (chinstrap, sweatband
and nape strap.)
Age: Although we use new components, these liners are all at least
61 years old. If you are striving for laser straight perfection, please
go away. Most liners will show some evidence of their age. Scuffs, small
cracks, or graffiti (names and service numbers) may be present. Again,
if you require absolute, unissued perfection, you'll have to go elsewhere.
Color: Depending on the liner, most are left unpainted. You can
request painted or unpainted, but there will be no guarantees.
Availability: We try to keep these in stock, but since we also use
them to build helmets, this is not always the case. Therefore,
there may be a 7-10 day delay in shipping these, depending
on our workload.
Cheaper Liners? No. Economy and deluxe liners are not available.
We don't have any $5 liners. You can still get lucky at gun and military
shows, but it will take some time and hunting. These are a pain to refurbish
and we aren't going to have any bargain liners.
Too expensive! Our infantry liners are about equivalent to originals
in excellent condition. As for Paratrooper liners...original Westinghouse
liners in half decent shape are about $500. A mint one may go for double
that. Good luck even finding one.
M-1 (Infantry) Helmet Liners
Standard high pressure helmet liners. These
are a mix of manufacturers, but most are KAPAC and Firestone. (Inland
liners are NOT available.) Fitted with new khaki HBT suspension.

Paratrooper Helmet Liner Complete (Includes chin cup, leather
liner chinstrap and sweatband)
Sold Out
We are now offering steel helmets separately. These
have been refinished and had chinstraps installed.
Rear Seam: November 1944 or later production. The seam on the
rim of the helmet is at the rear.
Front Seam WWII: Pre-1944 production. Definitely WWII. Yes, they
are dramatically more expensive. The price is nuts. But, we are having
a difficult time finding more and really do not want to sell them on
their own. Due to constant badgering, here you go. It's a much better
deal to buy the complete helmet.
Condition: As with the liners, these are genuine US military
issue steel pots. They are not brand new. They have seen service in
the real military and there may be some evidence of their use. They
are in very good to excellent condition, but dings, blemishes or even
small cracks are possible. If they look to have been used as a hammer
or crushed by a fat lady's backside, we don't use them. But if you are
seeking utter perfection, or fear a small ding will leave you vulnerable
to serious injury from Airsoft pellets, then you may want to look elsewhere....
M-1 Steel Pot: Standard issue steel pot for all soldiers and
Marines (except paratroopers) with infantry chinstraps.
Rear Seam: $40.00
Front Seam WWII: $150.00
M-1C Steel Pot:
Issue steel pot for Paratroopers with correct chinstraps.
Rear Seam: $50.00
Front Seam WWII: $160.00
