Compass Pouch, Transitional
Same as above, but the pouch is made from od7 green canvas. The binding tape is still od3. Actually, most originals are od7 rather than od3. This is the more historically correct color for compass pouches but...we know how socially unacceptable anything green is.

Note: This is not an exact reproduction (of an original or the one you are studying on your Band of Brothers DVD). It is similar to WWII ones. Meaning, it's about the same size and it's black metal. We have not heard of any exact reproductions. They would cost more than $10. High quality civilian and military compasses sell for $80-150. If you want an original compass, try ebay or military shows. They usually run $50-100 depending on condition and whether or not they are the shock and gas proof Mark VIA1E3 Airborne-Ranger model. (The ones issued exclusively to paratroopers in the 506th and signed by General Pershing.)

Exact reproduction of the M1938 Dispatch Case. We have used the name "Map Case" because that's what 96% of collectors and reenactors know them as. Made with 100% cotton shuttle loomed webbing and #8 duck canvas, color matched to original material and assembled with original US military hardware. The shoulder strap is 6" longer than originals to accommodate taller/ larger torsos. Markings are stenciled and heat cured. These are not the cases offered elsewhere that are dyed in Mr.Chang's bathtub that behave like a chameleon in the sunlight. Approx. 9W x 10H x 5D.
