How to "operate" German Belts
This is apparently much more difficult to understand
than we anticipated. Here's the clearest illustration we can offer.

Step One: Insert belt through large slot on rear of buckle.

Step Two: Push claws into holes on tongue. Adjust as necessary.

German Belt Sizing

Please just follow these instructions. Don't be a meathead.
1. Order your normal US waist size, the same one you buy in trousers. 30, 32, 34, 36, or 38 etc., etc.. Just one. Not "34-40" or "XL" or "regular". Just "34" or "36" or "40" and so on.

2. DO NOT repeat DO NOT order the next size up. It will be too large! We didn't just fall off the turnip truck. We know damned good and well that these will, in all likelihood, be worn over a tunic, your panties and perhaps a smock. They are slightly oversized to compensate already.

3. These are ADJUSTABLE! Again, before panicking and sending it back to us with a 10 page nastygram, please note the little holes along the tongue. These have about 6" of adjustment, beyond the marked size.

4. The black EM belts are brown on the backside, and black on the outside. Thus, make sure you look at both sides before sending it back to us howling that we ripped you off by sending a brown belt. Jesus H.....

EM Service Belt, Black
New generation EM service belts. These are now made in North America (we make some here and some in Mexico). Leather is now high quality, 8-9 oz. oak-tanned cowhide, hand-sewn with linen cord. All elements are improved over the previous run.
Order your regular waist size. These adjusts approximately 4-1/2" beyond stated belt size for wear with overcoats, etc. These will accept both original and reproduction EM belt buckles.

EM Service Belt, Web, DAK
Exact reproduction of the heavy web belt worn by the D.A.K.(Afrika Korps), troops in the Mediterranean theater, as well as mid to late war troops in general. We had the cotton webbing specially made to the same color, weave and width of the original. (We had contracted this webbing from a US mill ourselves and we are the only ones selling this stuff.)  The steel belt hooks are excellent quality repros. Sewn with linen thread and correctly marked.

EM Belt Buckle, Steel, Reproduction
The best quality reproduction German belt buckles made. Most vendors in the U.S. and Europe sell these as "originals recently found in warehouse". These are very, very, very good reproductions made in Hungary. The clasps are strong and will not break. Currently, the maker marks and dates shown in the photos are the only ones we have. They are copies of real makers, so you may have an original with the same marks...or maybe you got burned.

WARNING! These often have some light corrosion or chips in the paint. These are manufactured and finished by a shop in Hungary. They are all "aged" as they are made for a German dealer (who will remain anonymous) who passes them off everywhere as original. That is just the way the manufacturer does it. They are so good that hundreds have been duped into paying original prices, especially for the SS buckles.
I know, I know, I feel your pain that these have not be lovingly wrapped in a kevlar blanket and sealed in airtight containers anxiously awaiting the day that an esteemed collector breaks the seal for the first time and lets their virgin lungs draw their first breaths of fresh air...
If the thought of a speck of rust, tarnish, or paint that is not quite "flawless" terrifies you or turns your stomach, invest in a can of spray paint and a squirt of WD-40, or just go away.
They the best damned reproductions anywhere. Get over it.

German Cast Aluminum Belt Buckles
New, top notch reproductions of the aluminum variations of the German military belt buckles. Used concurrently with steel buckles during WWII, these were phased out later in the War due to the need for aluminum for more critical products. Like the our high quality steel buckles, these were made with "originality" in mind- these are normally sold as genuine by dealers in"fine" militaria. As accuracy, it gets no better than these. Even with an original in one hand and one of these in the other, it's a nearly impossible task to distinguish them.
